Will the developers at Mediatonic ever stop? Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout Season 4.5 is available, bringing more content, mayhem, and fixes to the 60-player battle royale. While Xbox and Switch versions are coming in the next few months, gamers with PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, or PC can get in on the latest action. Private lobbies, two new levels, skins, and variations throughout some rounds will have gamers jumping back into competition.

The most significant addition for the midseason update is the two new rounds: Slimescraper and Button Mashers. The Slimescraper brings the rising slime to a mountain race with multiple floors of obstacles that send the competition flying into the growing goo. The other added round is called Button Bashers, and it will pit players one-on-one through a myriad of mini-games where only higher scores win. This gameplay is a new style that adds more dimension and expands the direct bean on bean action.

It might take a while for the player to run into the new rounds during standard competition or even in Mix It Up! mode because there are so many rounds available. The developers also added 55 new variations to obstacles in existing levels, scattered throughout 12 maps. Expect Big Yeetus, Punch Gloves, Fans, and more to find their way throughout some sections. Running into Big Yeetus in areas of Ski Fall will be a fun experience for those that dare ride the hammer to gold.

There are minor tweaks done throughout the game to balance the competition. One notable fix is to Power Trip since competitors can now carry batteries up ramps easily. The Load Screen team enjoys each iteration of Mediatonic’s Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout so far, and the developers continue to find ways to increase the competition at the same time as responding to player input. While no cross parties are available yet, Season 4.5 brings together players on PC and PlayStation network. For those looking to only play with friends, there are now private lobbies open. Mediatonic broadens its reach and player population base with every update. When Xbox and Steam versions are finally available, expect all the features and more competitors at every Show.
