E3 Bolsters Participant List for 2021
E3 2021 just onboarded more companies, including several game makers, to their virtual show. Which is good news for anyone finally experiencing their first E3 directly. Video game platforms of Xbox and Nintendo are already participants, but now Bandai Namco Entertainment, Gearbox Entertainment, Square Enix, and Sega are onboard. That will make for a diverse set of presentations and a bright future for gaming on display. Other companies that make products useful to gamers will also make an appearance, such as Verizon and Turtle Beach. The complete list of confirmed additions is on the E3 Expo News page.
The game producer segment of E3 is getting crowded now, so expect some titles destined for the next-gen platforms, including the Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5, despite Sony Interactive Entertainment not participating in the event directly. Capcom, Take-Two Interactive, Konami, Warner Brothers Games, and several others accepted the invitation for the event, but only one group announced when their portion would occur. According to the Ubisoft Forward website, Ubisoft will have its presentation on the first day of E3 2021 at 12 PM Pacific Time. There will also be some hot products for gamers on display from both Verizon and Turtle Beach. 5G gaming will show up for Verizon, but Turtle Beach will likely have some products that are nearly ready for market that benefit most gamers. However, Binge.com is a wild card that could offer an exciting platform for video game streaming. However, little is out there for what products and services they might showcase.
So now the Entertainment Software Association has console makers, game developers, accessory makers, and service operators in store for E3 2021. With so many good developers on display, there will be something for every gamer. Konami may have some classics or arcade games, while Square Enix should have a solid mix of games to show off. We hope for a Final Fantasy XVI tease, but anything from Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 2 will do as well.
